He and his wife are proud parents of an adult daughter and son. His final assignment as Professor of Aerospace Studies/Commander, Air Force ROTC at Colorado State University/University of Northern Colorado brought him and his wife to Fort Collins in 2015. Between flying and Commander tours, he worked at a range of staff assignments, from personnel to worldwide mobility/logistics operations. Kip was selected as Commander throughout his Air Force career at the Detachment, Squadron, Group and Wing levels. He also has operational experience with C-5, C-17, U-2 and E-3 aircraft and has accumulated nearly 4,700 flying hours. His Air Force worldwide flying career spanned 30 years and throughout that time he held C-141, KC-10, KC-135 and RQ-4 pilot ratings. Kip earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Management from the USAF Academy and holds three Master’s degrees.

He collaborates with Falcon AeroLab staff to orchestrate the weekly activities.
